My Garage Runneth Over!

Look at all of this!  My garage is full to the brim with inventory.  I have been hitting garage sales, Craig's List, and my dad cleaned out his storage unit this week so I am now up to my ears in projects.  Definitely not a bad thing. :)  I am going to take most of this to a flea market this weekend.  It is being held at the Tumwater Library on Saturday from 10-4.  I am excited to see how my stuff does at a flea market.  Also my friend Laura is going to be sharing a booth with me, she makes beautiful jewelery that you can buy here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/elizabethlanestudio

I am beginning to worry that my style is a bit too young for the antique mall since none of my things have sold yet.  So I am also looking into doing the Thurston County Flea Market that runs Oct-June and the final Lacey Market in September.  I'm hoping with that kind of exposure someone will want to buy something!

Feathering the Nest

I rearranged my space today and added this crazy curtain!  It started out as a plain white linen curtain from Ikea that I found at Goodwill.  I can never leave anything plain so I set out in search of something to adorn it with.  My first thought was little yellow and black flowers but then I came across these feathers and fell in love!  I wasn't too sure how it would turn out, either genius or horrible.  Turns out I love it!  It's hard to get a good sense of it from the picture but it really does look great.  I also found some more furniture to re-finish this weekend, very excited to get going on that.

I'm in the Business of Selling Things

I rented a space at a local antique mall where I will be selling things I create.  I have re-finished furniture, a beautiful headboard, bags that I sew and other little odds & ends.  I am very excited about this venture.  I like to decorate and create so I hope that someone will wander into the store and find a treasure of mine that they have to have.  My space is a little sparse right now but I will be adding more as I go.  I am constantly in search of cheap/free furniture and projects that I can sell.  Check back for details on projects I'm working on.  If you would like to see my things in person, the antique mall is called Fleur de Lis and the address is 7941 Martin Way E in Olympia.  They are open 7 days a week from 10-6.  Feel free to check it out and any feedback, good or bad, is really appreciated!
